Tony Roma’s For Lunch On Son’s First Day Of School
After my son finished his school session on the first day of school, we took him to Tony Roma’s for a special treat. That’s me in the first photo, goofing off with the current burger promo at Tony Roma’s.
He loves the ribs here and always asked us to stop here for a meal. Now, that’ll burn a hole in our pocket. LOL
I complained about the food and service at this outlet before, so Dennis (the Manager) made sure that we were happy and well taken care of during our visit. My shiitake mushroom burger (which came in a set lunch) was cooked the way I wanted and was nice and juicy instead of dry like on my previous visit. My husband had Surf and Turf burger with a nice dollop of shrimps.
I usually have a hard enough time finishing my burger, but Dennis kept on bringing us stuff to eat. That plate of appertiser and an extra bowl of soup came complimentary from him. I wish I can finish them all because they were all so yummy!
Son asked my husband why people kept on bringing food to our table, and husband replied “it was because Mama loves to complain so much and people want her to stop complaining”. Am I that bad? LOL
Son was pretty happy that day. He entered Standard One, met new friends and had a nice lunch all in the same day.

I’ve not heard of Tony Roma’s - kat mana tu?
btw - nothing wrong with complaining - if it’s done respectfully, without attacking the person who’s being complained to / about
I’m no good at face-to-face complaints, but wow I can write really effetive complaint letters!!
:D
Mmmm…that looks good. Too bad we don’t have Tony Roma’s over here.
@Karen & Gerard,
yeah, they are pricey for us too! But their set lunch was quite affordable with price starting from RM19.90. (and we’ve got some vouchers to redeem).
@lynne,
If I’m happy, I usually bring others for future visits.
I should learn from you on writing complaints.
I don’t usually complain to the staff, I like to meet the Managers and give my feedback to them (and I don’t scream and rant to them when I was unhappy - that’s why they do want to see me again at their outlets!)
Tony Roma’s opened their outlets recently here (well, last year). The one I went was at Gardens Mall.
@dletus,
And they taste good too!
@foong,
but complaining about cannot use credit card will not get you the free food. Believe me, I tried. LOL
